On September 26, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the People’s Republic of China led by a Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Secretary of the CPC Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, Chen Wenqing.

The head of the Chinese delegation Chen Wenqing conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping to the President of Uzbekistan.

The issues of developing and strengthening the friendship and all-weather strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China in implementing the decisions taken at the highest level were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to expanding practical interaction and effective coordination in the fight against traditional and new challenges and threats to security – terrorism, extremism, transnational crime, cybercrime, drug trafficking, and others.

The results of the first meeting of the Uzbekistan – China cooperation mechanism in law enforcement and security, which was held these days, were highly appreciated.

An exchange of views on current regional issues also took place.
