On 28 November, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the United Arab Emirates led by the Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi.

The Minister conveyed to the President of Uzbekistan the sincere greetings and best wishes of the UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed Al Nahyan, and the country’s Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum.

Issues related to further strengthening the friendship and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the UAE were reviewed, as were the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level visit to the UAE in January of this year.

It was emphasized with deep satisfaction that, in recent years, more than 300 initiatives have been implemented with the UAE government across more than 40 areas, including essential programs such as the “Government Accelerator”, “One Million Programmers”, and “Young Leaders”.

The necessity of ensuring the full-scale implementation of the new five-year program of mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at improving public administration efficiency was highlighted.

Special attention was devoted to joint plans to introduce the UAE’s best practices to reduce bureaucracy, train five million prompt engineers in the field of artificial intelligence, and advance the “Young Generation” and “Book Challenge” projects.

An agreement was also reached to thoroughly prepare for the upcoming high-level events.

Following the meeting, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Minister Mohammad Al Gergawi viewed an exhibition dedicated to the history of relations between Uzbekistan and the UAE.
