On April 7, as part of the program of the 150th anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received a delegation of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Türkiye, led by its Speaker, Numan Kurtulmuş.

The Speaker of the Turkish Parliament conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the Leader of Uzbekistan.

Key issues related to deepening friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye were discussed.

The current highest level of bilateral cooperation was noted with great satisfaction. Indicators of mutual trade and investment continue to grow, the number of successful joint projects and enterprises is increasing, and the frequency of direct flights is expanding. Significant cultural events are being held to foster closer ties between the two countries and their peoples.

Special attention was given to the further development of inter-parliamentary relations, the active role of friendship groups in shaping a new agenda for partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, the intensification of interregional cooperation, and ensuring oversight of the implementation of high-level agreements.
