On December 26, during a telephone conversation, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed deep condolences to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in connection with the numerous casualties as a result of the crash of a passenger airliner near the city of Aktau.

The President of Uzbekistan conveyed through the Leader of Azerbaijan words of sincere sympathy and support to the families and friends of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to all injured.
