
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has concluded the intensive program of events of his state visit to Azerbaijan.
On July 2, during his stay in the city of Baku, the Head of State held productive talks with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The second meeting of the Supreme Intergovernmental Council took place. The discussions focused on further strengthening friendship, strategic partnership, and alliance between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, as well as prospects for expanding practical cooperation.
During the visit, a substantial package of bilateral documents covering various areas of cooperation was signed.

The leaders jointly laid the foundation for the Uzbekistan Park and inaugurated the new building of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Baku, as well as became familiar with the activities of the “Sea Breeze” resort complex.
Continuing the visit on July 3, the President of Uzbekistan and the President of Azerbaijan jointly visited the Uzbekistan – Azerbaijan textile factory in Khankendi and the historical and architectural complex “Imaret” in Aghdam.

Today, the Head of State participated in the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, outlining partnership priorities and presenting several key initiatives.
On the sidelines of the summit, bilateral meetings were held with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif and the Acting Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.

Following the visit, the Head of State departed for Tashkent. At Fuzuli International Airport, the President of Uzbekistan was seen off by the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli and other official representatives.
