The President of Uzbekistan becomes Honorary Doctor and Professor by a leading Pakistani University

As part of the first meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council, a ceremony was held to confer the honorary titles of Doctor and Professor of the National University of Sciences and Technology of Pakistan on the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The corresponding certificate was presented to the Head of State by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The titles were awarded in recognition of the Uzbekistan Leader’s outstanding contributions to socio-economic and educational reforms, the country’s sustainable modernization, the development of science and technology, and the strengthening of international cooperation and academic ties.

During the ceremony, Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the University’s leadership, and its academic community for awarding the high honors and emphasized the importance of strengthening educational ties and the mutual training of highly qualified specialists.

Founded in 1991, the National University of Sciences and Technology integrates research and innovation activities, the training of master’s and doctoral students, and the promotion of applied research focused on the needs of industry and the economy.
