Do you know how many young people currently live in Uzbekistan?
The Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan provided accurate data on this issue. So, as of January 1 this year, the number of young people aged 14-30 years was 9,654,351 people or 26.8 percent of the country’s total population.
By region, the number of young people of the specified age is:
Karakalpakstan – 544,011 people (27.5 percent);
Andijan region – 871,191 people (26.2 percent);
Bukhara region – 519,768 people (25.9 percent);
Jizzakh region – 418,659 people (28.4 percent);
Kashkadarya region – 976,661 people (28 percent);
Navoi region – 274,275 people (26 percent);
Namangan region – 803,078 people (26.8 percent);
Samarkand region – 1,143,004 people (27.8 percent);
Surkhandarya region – 787,816 people (28.1 percent);
Syrdarya region – 249,903 people (27.9 percent);
Tashkent region – 767,600 people (25.6 percent);
Fergana region – 1,051,980 people (26.5 percent);
Khorezm region – 541,554 people (27.7 percent);
Tashkent – 704,851 people (23.8 percent).
