The number of smart greenhouses is increasing
In accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to introduce advanced technologies in Uzbekistan’s agriculture through grant funds from the Government of the Republic of Korea”, of July 14, 2022, a project is underway to establish the Smart Agriculture innovative center for industrial technologies.
The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea, KOAMI, KIAT, the CAMTIC Advanced Mechatronics Technology Institute, and Agro Solution Korea.

As part of the project, a two-story laboratory and administrative building, a production complex, the Smart Greenhouse experimental farm and auxiliary infrastructure facilities were built in Yuqorichirchiq district. Greenhouse complexes of 0.2 hectares each are being created in the regions. In 2024, they were built in Tashkent and Samarkand regions, and in 2025, in Khorezm, Fergana and Bukhara regions.

As part of the project, domestic specialists are taking advanced training courses in Korea. The program covers the effective application of digital technologies and Smart Farm systems used in modern greenhouse farms. Participants study specialized electronic equipment, video surveillance systems, and sensors for monitoring soil composition, humidity, and temperature, as well as the principles of installation, setup, and operation of these devices, taking into account the specific features of greenhouse complexes. Theoretical and practical classes have been organized on database formation, monitoring, and the use of software solutions for managing smart greenhouses.
