The Global Allium Garden project was first launched in 2018 and has since become one of the largest allium collections in the world. Initially established on 0.5 hectares, it also features tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths. Special information has been prepared for each species, including its Latin name, distribution area, and a brief description.
The garden houses a special collection of table and medicinal varieties of allium commonly found in Uzbekistan, attracting the interest of botanists and specialists in agriculture and food sciences.
The Allium Garden is one of the major projects that has become a symbol of scientific cooperation and friendship between Uzbekistan and China. Annual seasonal events attract hundreds of visitors and contribute to developing domestic and international tourism.
In the future, plans include opening new large-scale scientific exhibitions at the Tashkent Botanical Garden.
