The new overpass on Boburshoh Street significantly improves mobility for residents

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the new overpass linking two sections of Boburshoh Street in Andijan.

The structure directly connects two parts of the city, easing traffic congestion and eliminating the need for a detour. The project, costing 271 billion UZS, was implemented at the instruction of the Head of State, given during his previous visit to Andijan region.

The overpass is 796 meters long and 25.9 meters wide. The elevated section is 596 meters long, while another 200 meters comprise a road section with retaining walls.

Above all, the new overpass has greatly improved convenience for residents. Now, 140,000 residents of Andijan and Oltinkul district will no longer need to travel an additional 5.3 kilometers. 

In addition, the route used by emergency and other special service vehicles has been shortened from 15 to 9.3 kilometers. By eliminating the detour and waiting time at the railway crossing, travel time will be reduced by 17 minutes. 

This is especially important for emergency medical care. Patients can now be transported to the emergency medical center 14 minutes earlier.
