The 67th meeting of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology, and Certification of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was attended by a delegation led by Akmal Jumanazarov, Director of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation.

Council members discussed optimizing processes in standardization, metrology, and certification.

They also reviewed matters related to strengthening scientific and technical cooperation and trade and economic relations, including removing technical barriers to international trade and training specialists.

As part of the event, the Director of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation, Akmal Jumanazarov, met with Elena Morgunova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus. The discussion focused on removing technical barriers to trade and creating favorable conditions for exporting enterprises.

Following the meeting, a decision was made to implement a professional retraining and advanced qualification program for specialists in technical regulation, standardization, metrology, certification, and information and communication technologies.

The event also featured a presentation of the book “Great Scholars of the East Who Made Significant Contribution to the Development of Metrology”.
