The Hokim of Bukhara region Botir Zaripov met with the Deputy President of the Senate of the Malaysian Parliament Nur Jazlan Mohamed.

The head of the region spoke about the election process in Bukhara, which was carried out at a high organizational level. He noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia had reached a new level in recent years, and interparliamentary, intergovernmental, and business ties are developing. In particular, they discussed the work carried out in tourism, new tourist sites, and conditions created for pilgrims.

Nur Jazlan Mohamed emphasized that he witnessed the changes and transformations in ancient Bukhara and highly appreciated the creative work.

“I was in Bukhara in 2009”, the guest noted. “Over the past period, great changes have occurred. Bukhara is truly becoming a tourist capital. During the visit, I witnessed that our agreements on cooperation between parliaments yield the expected results. I think that our cooperation will continue to strengthen”.

At the meeting, which took place in a sincere and friendly atmosphere, issues of further development of interregional trade and economic and investment cooperation were also discussed.
