The Festival of Friendship and Culture, under the motto "Uzbekistan is our common home," with the participation of representatives of various nationalities held in Andijan.

Carried out under the leadership of the President of our country wise policy is essential to further strengthen the atmosphere of friendship and harmony, coherence and unity among the living in our country, representatives of 130 nations and nationalities. The traditional festival "Uzbekistan is our common home" also serves these purposes.

Events in the framework of the festival began with a scientific-practical seminar titled "The role of inter-ethnic harmony in the upbringing and education of healthy generation" which was held in Andijan regional theatre of musical drama and comedy named after Babur. 

At the exhibition under the motto "We are your children, Uzbekistan!" were presented photographs and works of art that reflect the unique nature of our country, the creative potential of the people, the contribution of the representatives of all nationalities in the development of the Motherland, as well as the national dishes and handicraft products.

Demonstrated film, songs and dances performed by folk ensembles, artistic groups of the National Cultural Centres gave the audience a festive mood.

In Andijan State University, Andijan Agricultural Institute were held the "round table" discussions on the theme "National and religious generosity is a factor of stability." At the events, organized in Pakhtaabad and Khodjaobad districts were demonstrated customs of different nationalities and the national games.

As part of the festival, the House of Friendship "Dustlik" was commissioned in Andijan. Here, for national cultural centers, operating in the region, buildings were allocated and created modern conditions.

The festival ended with a festive Sayil in the Recreation Park named after Alisher Navoi in Andijan and a concert program with the participation of famous artists and arts groups.
