The CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Spring Session takes place in Saint Petersburg
The Spring Session of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States is being held in Saint Petersburg.
The delegation of the Parliament of Uzbekistan, led by Senate Chairperson Tanzila Narbayeva, is participating in the events.
A meeting of the Assembly Council, attended by parliamentary delegations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, took place.

The participants discussed ways to strengthen interparliamentary cooperation among the CIS countries, counter current security threats, harmonize legislation, and expand humanitarian ties.
Meetings of the Standing Committees and the Youth Interparliamentary Assembly were also convened.
The session will also include an international conference on the legal regulation of the use of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies to fight terrorism and prevent radicalism and extremism.
At the 60th Plenary Session of the Assembly, participants will review the implementation of events within the framework of the Year of Health Protection in the CIS countries, as well as recommendations on the legal regulation of the support system for young talents.
