The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Tashkent State Dental Institute organized a virtual conference together with the Ministry of Health of Spain, Palma de Mallorca leadership and the University of the Balearic Islands.

Important agreements were reached at the meeting, according to which a branch of Tashkent State Dental Institute will be established at the Dental School of the University of the Balearic Islands. It should be noted that this is the first branch of a higher education institution of Uzbekistan to be opened in one of the developed European countries.

The agreement was signed following the negotiations. Higher education institutions also reached an agreement on attracting 30 teachers per year, training Spanish specialists in six areas of dentistry in retraining and advanced training courses.

A number of issues were also identified on admission of 100 Spanish students to advanced training courses in dental medicine in 2021, creation of conditions for patients from Spain to use opportunities of medical tourism system in Uzbekistan.
