A business forum aimed at expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and Serbia was held on October 29 at the Technopark complex in Tashkent. As part of the event, an industrial exhibition featuring both countries was also organized.

The forum, included in the agenda of the official visit of the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, to Uzbekistan, gathered government representatives, officials from relevant agencies, and more than 100 entrepreneurs from both nations.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojayev provided information on the results of recent economic reforms carried out in the country and the tangible achievements achieved so far.

In turn, the distinguished guest emphasized that new opportunities for bilateral cooperation are being created.

In January – September 2025, trade volume between Uzbekistan and Serbia increased by 2.5 percent. The main export directions of Uzbekistan include cotton, textile raw materials, chemical products, grain crops, and ceramics. From Serbia, Uzbekistan mainly imports industrial equipment, machinery, cosmetics, paper, metals, and furniture. Currently, nine enterprises with Serbian investment operate in Uzbekistan.

During the event, the parties identified priority areas for developing cooperation in international industrial partnerships, pharmaceuticals, chemistry, agriculture, information technology, and financial collaboration.

At the exhibition showcasing industrial achievements, more than 50 Uzbek companies showcased their products and innovations in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, construction materials, agriculture, and automotive manufacturing.

G2B and B2B meetings were also organized within the forum, resulting in preliminary agreements on cooperation projects.

Participants noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Serbia is entering a new stage of development.
