Talks begin between the foreign ministers of Uzbekistan and Russia in Samarkand
Official negotiations commenced in Samarkand on April 23 between the delegations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation. The talks are being led by the foreign ministers of the two countries, Bakhtiyor Saidov and Sergey Lavrov.
According to the Uzbekistan MFA, the negotiations are taking place in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. The parties are discussing the current state and future prospects of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in the political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Particular attention is being given to further strengthening the strategic partnership, implementing joint projects, and expanding cooperation across key areas of the bilateral agenda. The sides are also exchanging views on pressing regional and international issues.
