On April 21-25, Ashgabat hosted the Second International Mathematics Olympiad. About 250 talented students from 15 countries attended the event. The Uzbekistan national team achieved success at the Olympics and won 4 gold, 9 silver, and 4 bronze medals – a total of 17 medals.

Students from Syrdarya defended Uzbekistan’s honor in this major event.

The 9th grader of the specialized boarding school No. 2 in Gulistan, Azizbek Mamajonov, became a gold medalist.

The 11th grader of this school, Behruz Boymurodov, and the 10th grader of the private school named after R. Bosimov, Sardor Urazaliyev, won bronze awards.
