Significant Uzbekistan – Pakistan Initiative
Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, the Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, met with a delegation led by Dur Muhammad Ayub, CEO of Pakistan’s GO Group.
Company representatives introduced an investment project to create a livestock complex in Uzbekistan. The project involves developing a comprehensive production system that includes all stages, from breeding pedigree livestock and manufacturing animal feed to sophisticated meat processing.
Initially, a facility capable of holding 20,000-30,000 cattle is planned. The project also includes developing infrastructure for cooling, freezing, and packaging export products.
The company considers Uzbekistan a promising platform for exporting meat products to the Gulf states and a strategic logistics hub for accessing markets in the CIS countries and China.
The parties also explored opportunities for cooperation in potato and vegetable processing and packaging, as well as in seed production development.
