An award ceremony took place for the winners of the short film script competition, which will be filmed jointly by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the VGIK branch named after S.A. Gerasimov in Tashkent.

The ceremony was attended by advisors to the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Isajon Sultanov and Nazokat Abdukunduzova, Director of the Russian State University of Cinematography named after S.A.Gerasimov in Tashkent Eldar Yuldashev and university students.

The works of young filmmakers of Uzbekistan are actively supported and encouraged by the state and various ministries and agencies.

15 scripts were submitted to the competition, and 14 were accepted for participation.

5 short film scripts were selected based on the results of the presentation of projects by the jury. These are the scripts for “Conductor” by Umid Roziboyev, “Betrayal” by Bakhtiyor Fattakhov, “VGIK Temple” by Bakhrom Musurmanov, “Bandit” by Mumin Tursunov, “Kimono” by Sanjar Murodshaikhov.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation allocated 750 million UZS to produce five short films. Each winner was awarded certificates worth 150 million UZS.
