Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia Sergey Khomenko visited the polling stations in Chirchik and noted that citizens showed high electoral activity, Sputnik Agency reports.

Sergey Khomenko, a member of the Parliamentary Assembly delegation and the Commonwealth of Independent States observer mission, directly observed the Elections of Deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and Local Councils. He particularly noted the activity of young people.

“The international observer expressed confidence that the newly elected deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Uzbekistan will continue cooperation with the Parliament of Belarus”, the Agency writes.
