The Asian Boxing Congress took place as part of the Asian Boxing Championship in Bangkok.

Issues of further development of boxing on the Asian continent were discussed.  Following the voting results, the current Head of Asian Boxing, Pichai Chunhavajira, was re-elected to the post of Head of the organization. Representatives of Kazakhstan, Japan, the Philippines, as well as the First Deputy Chairman of the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan Saken Polatov were nominated for the post of Vice President of the organization.

According to the results of the delegates’ voting, Saken Polatov was elected Vice President.

Thirty-eight athletes from Uzbekistan are taking part in the U22 and youth boxing championships. The championship will run until August 12.
