
Samarkand became the venue for an essential international dialogue.
Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, Saida Mirziyoyeva, held a meeting with Larbi Djacta, Chair of the United Nations International Civil Service Commission.
During the talks, the parties discussed ways to enhance the efficiency of civil service operations, the implementation of international governance standards, and measures to support and develop human resources in the public sector.
Particular attention was paid to the large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan’s public administration system.
Larbi Djacta praised the progress achieved, emphasizing that in recent years, Uzbekistan has made significant strides and now represents a qualitatively new state, in terms of infrastructure, innovation, and human capital.
“Cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Nations is at an unprecedented high level”, said Saida Mirziyoyeva. “The meeting with Larbi Djacta is an excellent opportunity to maintain the strength of these relations and outline new prospects for joint action”.
The sides expressed their readiness to deepen collaboration and implement joint civil service development initiatives.
