Assistant to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva met with the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, Mohamed Abdelsalam.

The parties discussed the importance of promoting the spiritual and universal values underlying Islam and strengthening interreligious dialogue.

Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed gratitude to the Council for its active activities aimed at maintaining peace, mutual understanding, and good neighborliness between peoples. The recognition by the international community of Uzbekistan’s contribution under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the development of interfaith harmony and the preservation of the unique Islamic heritage was noted.

Special attention was paid to the inclusion of Saida Mirziyoyeva in the jury of the Zayed Award for Human Fraternity, which recognized her achievements in promoting humanistic values.

“Only through joint efforts can we make this world a better place”, Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized.
