Saida Mirziyoyeva discusses the launch of the Tashkent International Financial Center with BlackRock

Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan and Managing Director of the Tashkent International Financial Center, met with BlackRock leadership in New York.

Rob Kapito, President of BlackRock, Thomas E. Donilon, Vice Chairman, Adebayo Ogunlesi, Chairman and CEO of Global Infrastructure Partners, as well as Charles Hatami, Global Head of the Financial & Strategic Investors Group and Head of Middle East attended the meeting.

The parties discussed the launch of the Tashkent International Financial Center, scheduled to open in 2027. According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, BlackRock is assisting with the development of the TIFC’s concept and structure.

At a joint roundtable with representatives of the American business community, participants discussed prospects for Uzbekistan and the region in the decades ahead.

“Uzbekistan is opening up to major, high-quality investments”, noted Saida Mirziyoyeva.
