Assistant to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva met with representatives of leading animation studios. During the conversation, current issues of the development of the domestic animation industry and proposals for its support and promotion were discussed.

Saida Mirziyoyeva stressed the importance of creating high-quality national content for children, noting that foreign materials still represent a significant part of the media products consumed by young viewers.

“There is a particularly acute shortage of children’s songs in Uzbek, cartoons reflecting our national values, as well as progressive and educational materials”, she wrote on her Telegram channel.

As a positive example, Saida Mirziyoyeva cited the Donocha project, which is actively working on creating content for children in Uzbek. She stressed the need for comprehensive support for such initiatives.

It was also noted that children’s literature and folk tales play a key role in shaping national identity, which can become the basis for creating original and meaningful animated content.
