Saida Mirziyoyeva attends the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly and holds meetings in New York

The opening of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly, attended by delegations from nearly 130 countries, including Uzbekistan, took place at the UN Headquarters in New York. The Uzbekistan delegation participated in the general debate and listened to addresses from several heads of state. During the visit, the Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva held several bilateral meetings.

In particular, the Head of the Presidential Administration met with Ben Black, Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), and with Karan Bhatia, Global Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google.

During the meeting with the DFC CEO, the parties considered the implementation of major joint projects in transportation and healthcare, which are already underway.

“Uzbekistan is ready to expand cooperation with DFC”, Saida Mirziyoyeva noted.

The possibility of launching monetization on YouTube in Uzbekistan was discussed with the Global Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google.

According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, Uzbekistan has improved the legislative framework for personal data processing and digital payments in recent years. This, in particular, creates conditions for expanding access to international payment systems.

“We have a tremendous opportunity for partnership with the company”, stated the Head of the Presidential Administration. “There is a lot of work ahead”.
