On June 21-24, 2018, Ceramics and Pottery International Festival will be held in Rishtan, Fergana.

Rishtan is famous for its ceramics and pottery, and bears the title of the main pottery workshop of Uzbekistan. The art of Rishtan’s artistic ceramics originated in ancient times. Traditions of the ceramics art of many neighboring ceramics centers, which existed at the beginning of the 20th century, were almost completely lost by the end, and only in Rishtan this art developed steadily throughout the century, preserving its stylistic integrity, which is its phenomenal nature.

As reported by the Press Service of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development, at the festival, participants and visitors will become acquainted with the skill of ceramists not only of the valley, but also of artisans from Azerbaijan and Turkey. The festival will be accompanied by a live performance of creative musical groups.
