Resorts of the region form a unified tourist route

As part of the first “Central Asia – European Union” tourism forum, a press conference organized by the Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts was held in Tashkent.

The event was attended by officials of the sector, specialists, and journalists.

The Eurasian Alliance of Mountain Resorts brings together leading resorts of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Russia. Currently, the alliance includes such resorts as Uzbekistan’s Amirsoy, Azerbaijan’s Shahdag, Russia’s Rosa Khutor, and Kazakhstan’s Shymbulak and Oi-Qarağai. In the near future, the South Korean resort Mona Yong Pyong will also join the alliance.

The Secretary General of the alliance, Andrey Kukushkin, noted that the organization’s primary goals are the sustainable development of mountain tourism, the careful preservation of natural and cultural heritage, and the enhancement of the quality, safety, and competitiveness of tourism services.

Members of the alliance shared their achievements and plans.
