Bucharest hosted the Regional Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children.

Representatives of Central Asian and European countries, international organizations, civil society institutions, and experts attended the event.

The official report of the regional ministries “Ending violence against children in Europe and Central Asia” was announced following the event. It notes reforms in Uzbekistan on child protection, in particular, Uzbekistan’s commitments to develop child protection programs, strengthen interdepartmental coordination, conduct tests of multifunctional child protection centers, expand the helpline service, and develop the positive parents program. This once again confirms the recognition of Uzbekistan’s systemic reforms at the international level.

Such initiatives are assessed as an integrated approach aimed at ensuring children’s safety, preventing violence, and expanding the reach of the assistance service.
