Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United States took part in a roundtable discussion titled “Uzbekistan Business Leaders”, organized by American Councils.

The event brought together officials from the U.S. Department of State, representatives of the business community, and members of U.S. expert and academic circles.

Fourteen winners of the 2025 “Uzbekistan Business Leaders” exchange program competition also participated in the roundtable discussions.

Speakers at the event included Lisa Choate, President and CEO of American Councils, Rebecca Pasini, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Private Sector Exchanges, Furkat Sidikov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Joe Kapp, President of the National Center for Resource Development, Elena Son, Executive Director of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce, and Tara Blake, Director at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation.

This year’s program, held in three U.S. cities, Chicago, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh, is aimed at enhancing the modern business skills and knowledge of Uzbekistan’s emerging business leaders, fostering innovative thinking, building international partnerships, and strengthening economic cooperation between the United States and Uzbekistan.
