Promising boxers from the continent gather in Tashkent
The Asian U15 and U17 Boxing Championships have kicked off at the martial arts arena in Olympic City, Tashkent, and will run through May 16.
A total of 183 young boxers in the U15 age category from across the continent are participating in the competition. In the U17 category, 340 athletes are competing for the championship title.
Today, two Uzbekistan athletes will enter the ring for the U17 bouts. Marjona Khudoyberdiyeva, competing in the 52 kg weight category, will face Mongolia’s Anujin Munkhtur, while Kamronbek Bakhodirov, in the 48 kg division, will fight against Raimer Soledad of the Philippines.
