At the Kuksaroy residence, talks were held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb, with the participation of official delegations.
The prospects for strengthening the multifaceted partnership between Uzbekistan and Finland, primarily in the political, trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian spheres, were discussed.

The dynamic development of political dialogue and exchanges at various levels, as well as the intensification of business contacts, were noted with satisfaction.
The volume of mutual trade continues to grow steadily, and economic and business ties are being strengthened. The Nordic International University, established in cooperation with Finland, is successfully operating in Uzbekistan, and joint programs in school education are being implemented.

Following the Uzbekistan – Finland Business Forum held today, a portfolio of promising joint projects worth over 1 billion euros has been formed.
During the talks, the parties discussed opportunities to significantly increase mutual trade, including through the establishment of a joint Trade Finance Fund to promote reciprocal supplies.

Support was expressed for initiatives to open certification laboratories to facilitate the access of Uzbek agricultural and textile products to the markets of the European Union.
Priority was given to expanding cooperation across key sectors, including geology and critical materials, energy, agriculture, digitalization, artificial intelligence, ecology, tourism, and other areas.

Agreements were reached to hold the next Intergovernmental Commission meeting in 2026 and to establish a Business Council. Both sides expressed mutual interest in expanding interregional cooperation.

The discussions also covered issues of collaboration in education, healthcare, and labor migration. It was noted that the first Forum of Rectors and Innovations is scheduled for next year.
The Presidents exchanged views on current regional and international issues.
