Presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are awarded the highest state honors
The Kuksaroy Residence hosted a ceremony to present the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan with the highest state honors of the two countries.
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was awarded the highest state award of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Order of Oliy Darajali Dustlik.

Presenting the high award, the President of Uzbekistan noted that the decision reflects the sincere respect of the Uzbek people and their recognition of President Ilham Aliyev’s personal contribution to strengthening friendship, strategic partnership, and allied relations between the two fraternal countries.

“You are carrying forward the legacy of your great father, the outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev. Thanks to the wise reform policy pursued under your leadership, Azerbaijan is achieving remarkable success in its development and on the international stage”.

President Ilham Aliyev’s significant contribution to expanding multifaceted relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan was highly appreciated. It was emphasized that he stood at the origins of the allied relations between the two states.
In turn, the President of Azerbaijan expressed gratitude to the President and the people of Uzbekistan for the high recognition and expressed confidence in strengthening multifaceted cooperation in the spirit of friendship and mutual respect.

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded Azerbaijan’s highest state honor – the Heydar Aliyev Order.

Expressing deep gratitude to the President and the entire fraternal people of Azerbaijan, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that he regards the award as a high honor for the joint efforts to strengthen the eternal friendship, strategic partnership, and alliance.

“This order holds special significance for me. It bears the name of Heydar Aliyev – the leader who dedicated his life to serving his Motherland. He laid a solid foundation for Azerbaijan’s future development”, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted.

It was highlighted that Heydar Aliyev deeply valued Uzbek history and culture, actively working to strengthen the bond between the two peoples.

It was expressed that Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan will keep expanding their cooperation in all fields, and their friendly relations will develop into new, practical forms.

Over the years, the Heydar Aliyev Order has been awarded to notable figures such as President Jacques Chirac of France, Amir Sabah Al-Sabah of Kuwait, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye, and President Sergio Mattarella of Italy, among many others.
