As part of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, held meetings with the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, the Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan, Faizali Idizoda, and the Speaker of the People’s National Assembly of the Algerian Parliament, Ibrahim Boughali.

The heads of parliaments expressed their support for the ideas and initiatives proposed by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his address at the Assembly.

In addition, forum participants expressed their gratitude to Uzbekistan for its hospitality and reaffirmed their readiness to develop inter-parliamentary relations. They also highly praised the preparatory work for the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
