President reviews development efforts in Bogimaydon mahalla
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the results of development and landscaping work carried out in Bogimaydon mahalla of the Mirzo Ulugbek district.
In Uzbekistan, improving mahalla infrastructure, shaping their image to reflect New Uzbekistan, and creating decent living conditions for the population have been identified as priority areas.

In this regard, the State Program “Year of Mahalla Development and the Entire Society”, dated February 26 of this year, serves as an important practical guideline aimed at the comprehensive, modern development of mahallas and at increasing their socio-economic potential.
Bogimaydon mahalla in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of the capital has today taken on a completely new appearance. This mahalla, established in 1987, has 41 apartment buildings and 1,990 apartments, with a population of about 5,500 people.

Modern infrastructure has been created in the area for residents. In particular, 20 children’s playgrounds, 11 workout areas, 3 mini-football fields, and a tennis court have been arranged. Two preschools serve nearly 500 children.
Special attention is also given to increasing economic activity and ensuring employment for the population. Today, more than 70 business entities operate here, helping reduce unemployment and increase household incomes. In particular, 949 of 1,048 young residents of the mahalla have been provided with jobs.

Efforts to preserve and expand green areas are also ongoing. To this end, an eco-park was established in 2022. Today, the park, with about 4,500 trees, is a popular recreational spot for both older adults and young people. The “Nuroniylar Maskani” also operates here, contributing to strengthening the social and spiritual environment in the mahalla.
The Head of State reviewed a presentation on the work underway to ensure a safe environment in the mahalla. Currently, the entrances of residential buildings are equipped with surveillance cameras and security control panels. The entry and exit of people and vehicles are monitored using modern technology.

The President inspected the conditions facing the population and spoke with the elders and activists of the mahalla. It was emphasized that a well-maintained and prosperous mahalla is the foundation of society, and that strengthening peace, harmony, and social cohesion remains a key priority.
The Head of State also visited a sumalak festival organized in the mahalla, where he interacted with residents and children. In addition, he met with young people exercising on a sports field and emphasized the importance of physical education and a healthy lifestyle for the development of well-rounded individuals.
