A telephone conversation has taken place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.

On July 24, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Nursultan Nazarbayev cordially congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, emphasizing the personal contribution of Uzbekistan’s leader to the achievement of the modern high level friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership between the two fraternal countries.

In turn, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev sincerely thanked Elbasy for the congratulations and warm wishes, as well as full support provided for development and strengthening Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan multifaceted cooperation.

In recent years, the trade turnover has increased significantly, promising cooperation projects in priority sectors are being implemented, cooperation in transport and transit communications is expanding.

New direction of interaction, interregional exchanges, has been opened. Business contacts has intensified. Joint events are held within the framework of the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan, contributing to strengthening friendship and good-neighborliness of fraternal people.

Current aspects of bilateral and regional agenda were considered during the conversation.

Particular attention was paid to issues of practical implementation of the agreements at the highest level, including within the framework of activities of the joint Intergovernmental Commission headed by the Prime Ministers of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
