A new micro-hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 550 kW has been launched in Qumqurgan district of Surkhandarya region.
The total cost of the project, which will produce 2.7 million kWh of electricity per year, is $800 thousand. This micro-hydroelectric power station is expected to provide 950 households with green energy, and four new jobs will be created. In addition, an average of 730,000 cubic meters of gas will be saved annually.
The opening ceremony of the micro hydroelectric power station was attended by the regional Hokim Ulugbek Qosimov, industry specialists, activists and veterans.
