Ahead of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s state visit to France, an Uzbekistan – France Tourism Forum was held in Paris.

At the event, organized by Uzbekistan’s Tourism Committee, a presentation titled “Uzbekistan – The Pearl of the Silk Road” was showcased.

The forum was attended by representatives from the French tourism administration, businesses from both countries, the diplomatic corps, and media representatives.

The forum’s primary goal is to strengthen tourism ties between Uzbekistan and France, foster partnerships among entrepreneurs, and increase the flow of tourists to Uzbekistan.

Participants were introduced to the prospects of tourism development in Uzbekistan, including measures to modernize infrastructure and initiatives to create comfortable tourist conditions. Uzbekistan Airways provided information about logistical opportunities, current routes, and plans for expanding its flight geography. Cooperation opportunities were discussed, and agreements to increase the tourist flow were signed.

French tour operators also received detailed information about Uzbekistan’s tourism reforms and rich cultural heritage.

The event featured a cultural program showcasing Uzbek national songs and dances, highlighting the centuries-old traditions of Uzbekistan. Attendees also had the opportunity to taste Uzbek cuisine dishes.
