Over ten textile companies in Uzbekistan have become holders of a certificate of the international standard WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production).

According to the Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association, the UZTEX Group became the first enterprise in Uzbekistan and Central Asia to receive this standard. The company held an official certificate presentation ceremony.

The WRAP certificate is one of the most complex social standards, confirming that UZTEX Group’s production complies with all social norms and regulations required for exporting products to the United States. This move reflects the high standards of quality and ethics to which the Uzbekistan textile industry is focused.

The document was presented by WRAP’s Senior Director of Compliance Assurance, Hong Mei.

It should be noted that ten more enterprises are currently at the stage of obtaining the WRAP certificate.

According to the Statistics Agency, in 11 months of 2023, the volume of exports of textile products amounted to more than $2.8 billion.
