The book-album “New Uzbekistan – A Country of Peace, Humanism and Tolerance” was presented in Tashkent by the Committee for Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The participants noted that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s fair and peace-loving policy, which is focused on active progress, has a positive impact on the entire Central Asian continent. The issue of strengthening interfaith tolerance in Uzbekistan remains a constant focus.
The resolution “Enlightenment and Religious Tolerance”, adopted at the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is significant because it promotes the issues of enlightenment, education, and upbringing as an effective means of combating global threats in the world. The book-album “New Uzbekistan – A Country of Peace, Humanism and Tolerance” vividly reflects Uzbekistan’s clear and unwavering position on this issue, speeches and statements by the Head of State on ensuring interethnic harmony and preserving peace, and noble efforts to ensure social stability in Uzbekistan. The colorful photographs confirm the practical work in this direction in Uzbekistan and the multifaceted activities of national cultural centers.
As part of the event, a group of compatriots were presented with “Khalqlar Do’stligi” (“Peoples’ Friendship”) badges.
