
According to the Andijan regional administration, a delegation from the region, led by Hokim Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov, is currently on a visit to the People’s Republic of China, where it held meetings with representatives of major Chinese companies and reached agreements on the implementation of new projects.
In particular, the Hokim held talks with the leadership of Nanning Jianning Water Investment Group on water supply, wastewater treatment, restoration of aquatic ecosystems, solid waste processing, water provision for foothill areas, and developing intensive orchards. As a result, contracts were signed to implement several projects in these areas, with a total value of $200 million.

The regional leader also met with the management of Xinjiang Qianyun Kunyu Construction Engineering in Urumqi. The discussion focused on a transformer manufacturing project in Andijan. An agreement was reached to implement this project, valued at $50 million.
An agreement has been reached with business representatives from China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region to expand cooperation in several sectors, including agriculture.

At the meetings, the parties agreed to pursue future joint initiatives in Andijan region, and a Memorandum of Friendship was signed.

The Andijan regional delegation also took part in the Uzbekistan – China Economic Forum in Urumqi and the Uzbekistan – China Business Forum in Guangzhou. Within the framework of these events, negotiations were held with representatives of various companies and investors.
