New opportunities for collaboration
The international exhibition “Food products, ingredients, and production technologies – UzFood 2026” has opened at Uzexpocentre.
At the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Shukurov, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland Stefan Krajewski, and CEO of ICA Events Edward Stroon noted that in recent years, Uzbekistan’s food industry has been developing actively, which creates new opportunities for both domestic and international cooperation.
According to Nigora Khasanova, the CEO of Iteca Exhibitions, this year’s event stands out not only for the number of participants but also for its broad geographic reach. The exhibition has united over 500 companies from 26 countries, including Germany, Belarus, Russia, the Republic of Korea, Poland, Thailand, China, India, Türkiye, Italy, and Malaysia.
The exhibition features a complete selection of products – from ingredients and equipment to finished goods.
“I am participating in the exhibition for the first time”, says Sofya Umerenkova, a representative of the Belarusian company Virtex Food. “In Pinsk, our company operates four large factories with a full production cycle. The product creation process begins in the laboratory with the development of flavor characteristics, then goes through a multi-stage approval process, after which it is launched into industrial production. As part of the exhibition, we intend to establish cooperation with reliable distributors operating in the Uzbek market”.
