Navbahor Khamidova opens a new chapter in the history of women’s boxing in Uzbekistan
The third stage of the World Boxing Cup has concluded in Astana.
The women’s national team of Uzbekistan, led by Elshod Rasulov, won one gold and four bronze medals.
Uzbekistan’s Navbahor Khamidova claimed the top step of the podium, and this medal became historic as the first gold medal ever won by a woman from Uzbekistan in this competition.
Feruza Kazakova, Aziza Zokirova, Sokhiba Ruzmetova, and Oltinoy Sotimboyeva won bronze medals.
