Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi: Uzbekistan has created all the necessary conditions for investors
Uzbekistan’s energy sector is emerging as one of the most attractive destinations for international investment. Systematic reforms, clear strategic priorities and tangible progress on ongoing projects are strengthening foreign companies’ confidence and deepening their interest in working with the country.
Representatives of leading international companies attended the inaugural meeting of the Energy Sector Investors Council, which was convened in Tashkent at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Among them was Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of UAE-based Masdar.
– In my view, this meeting is especially significant. Established at the President’s initiative, the council has brought together international investors from around the world. Masdar began cooperating with Uzbekistan at the very start of the reforms. Today, we see many other major foreign investors showing interest in your country’s market.
All of this demonstrates the effectiveness of the measures being implemented under President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s leadership. Equally important, efforts to attract investment are already producing tangible results.
For investors, transparent rules and procedures, consistent government policies, clearly defined strategic priorities, and new opportunities are fundamentally important. Uzbekistan has created all the necessary conditions in these areas. Our presence in the country, along with other international investors’ willingness to expand their cooperation with Uzbekistan, confirms this. We are pleased to be working in your country, – Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi said.
According to Masdar’s CEO, the company is also expanding its use of modern digital technologies in the energy sector. In particular, it is working to introduce artificial intelligence-based solutions to improve the efficiency and reliability of electricity transmission to the national power grid.
– We are actively investing in advanced artificial intelligence technologies to improve the efficiency of electricity transmission to the power grid. We are working closely with the Government of Uzbekistan to implement projects in this area. Our main objective is to identify the most effective technological solutions and successfully put them into practice, – Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi emphasized.
