Modern approaches to engineering education
The Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry hosted an international scientific-practical conference titled “International experience: Prospects for training highly qualified personnel in modern machine building and engineering amid the modernization of education”.
This is the final event of the international TEX4FUTURE – Textile Manufacturing for the Future in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan project, implemented under the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education program.
The conference, hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the TEX4FUTURE international consortium, drew representatives from universities, scientific organizations, government agencies, industrial enterprises, and businesses.
The participants considered issues in engineering education, the digital transformation of industry, the development of innovative technologies, and international academic cooperation.
The results of the TEX4FUTURE project were discussed, and the importance of their widespread dissemination, strengthening cooperation between universities and enterprises, and developing practice-oriented engineering education that meets the needs of the economy and the labor market was emphasized.
At the event, experts and university professors examined contemporary issues such as textile processing, sustainable manufacturing, new materials, textile engineering, fashion design, digital technologies, and innovations in light industry. They also identified key areas for future research and development.
