Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov has received the Secretary General of Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev.

On October 4, 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Secretary General of Turkic Council Baghdad Amreyev.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, current issues of relations between Uzbekistan and the Turkic Council were discussed at the meeting.

Secretary General Baghdad Amreyev welcomed the ratification by Uzbekistan of the Nakhichevan Agreement of 2009 on the establishment of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-speaking states, which significantly expands the possibilities of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the Turkic Council and significantly strengthens the organization’s potential.

At the meeting, practical aspects of participation of Uzbekistan delegation in the upcoming seventh Summit of the Turkic Council in Baku were considered.
