Manchester City FC delegation arrives in Tashkent
The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with a delegation from Manchester City FC, as well as with Kinkladze Global and SMH Sports. The leadership of the Ministry of Sports, the NOC, and the Uzbekistan Football Association attended the event.
The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in developing professional football in Uzbekistan, selecting talented young players, and advancing coach training.
According to the NOC Press Service, during the meeting, issues regarding establishing cooperation with the City Football Group, establishing partnerships with local professional clubs, and organizing special training programs for young football players based on the Manchester City methodology were discussed.
In turn, Jonathan Smith, Director of Partner Programmes at Manchester City Football Club, stressed that Uzbek football has already attracted the attention of the international community. According to him, the delegation's representatives are showing great interest in meeting Uzbekistan’s talented young football players.
During the visit, the guests will become acquainted with the infrastructure of the Olympic Village, the training processes of Pakhtakor and Bunyodkor FCs, and the activities of several regional football clubs.
