Leaders of Uzbekistan and Germany adopt a Joint Statement and launch several joint projects
Following the talks, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier adopted a Joint Statement, confirming the sides’ intention to strengthen multifaceted cooperation.
The heads of state also welcomed representatives of leading German companies that are implementing and planning to implement joint projects in Uzbekistan.


A ceremony to exchange bilateral documents was also held. Agreements were signed in the field of financial cooperation, providing for the allocation of grant funds and concessional financing to implement sustainable urban development projects in Uzbekistan.
In the presence of the leaders of the two countries, several joint investment and educational projects were announced.


These include the organization of semi-knockdown assembly of Volkswagen vehicles in Tashkent, the construction of a logistics center in Andijan region, the production of liquid household detergents, the training of specialists for the railway industry, and the opening of modern examination centers.
The implementation of these initiatives is intended to expand industrial cooperation, develop infrastructure, create new jobs, and strengthen partnership between Uzbekistan and Germany.
