Sergey Ponomarenko highly praised the current state of interregional partnership, particularly the cooperation between Krasnoyarsk Krai and Surkhandarya region. He noted that the Russian region is interested in deepening long-term cooperation with Uzbekistan.

Special attention was given to the development of logistics infrastructure. In particular, the parties discussed the establishment of a specialized transport and logistics center, which would significantly increase the supply of Uzbekistan’s fruits and vegetables to Krasnoyarsk Krai.

Uzbekistan’s Consul General Aslam Akbarov emphasized the importance of promoting Uzbekistan’s products on the Russian market. Priority areas identified include agriculture, the production of baby food in Uzbekistan, and increasing the import of equipment and materials for the textile industry.

During the negotiations, the Russian side noted growing interest in Uzbekistan’s tourism destinations. Discussions focused on the development of gastronomic, ethnographic, and historical tourism, as well as the organization of informational tours for tour operators from Krasnoyarsk Krai.

A key topic of the meeting was cooperation in education. The parties exchanged views on the potential to increase the number of Uzbekistan students studying at leading universities in Krasnoyarsk Krai on a budgetary or scholarship basis.

Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached to hold a business forum in Krasnoyarsk with the participation of representatives from the business communities of Surkhandarya, Fergana, and Samarkand regions.
